For the Love of Music is an educational program that gives young children the opportunity to experience classical music in an exciting and engaging environment.  Through interactive live performances, guided listening, and explorative conversations, children will discover how to listen deeply and communicate openly.  
Our first series, based around the theme of “Communication,” will consist of six weekly sequential sessions.

The workshops will be led by uptown-based teaching artists Katherine Liccardo and Matt Consul.

Recommended for ages 4-8 (all ages welcome!)

Listen Closely and Inwood Art Works collaborate to celebrate the great partnership between filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock and composer Bernard Herrmann. A screening of Hitchcock's classic film "Psycho" will follow a live performance of music from the film and Herrmann's string quartet "Echoes."
